The Push-and-Pull Dynamics in Relationships: A Biblical Perspective
Relationships between men and women often involve a complex balance of emotions and expectations. One dynamic is the “push-and-pull” effect, where treating someone poorly can sometimes make them chase you, while being overly available may push them away. This behavior reflects human psychology, where people value what feels scarce or unattainable.
The Bible teaches us to build relationships on love and respect, not manipulation. Ephesians 5:33 highlights mutual love and respect, while Philippians 2:3-4 calls for selflessness. Genuine love, as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, is kind and patient—not rooted in games. ( NOT TODAY!!)
Instead of engaging in push-and-pull tactics, focus on honest communication and mutual growth. Matthew 7:12 reminds us to treat others as we wish to be treated. Building relationships on these principles fosters trust, love, and spiritual connection. (I WISH.)
Do these ideas resonate with you, it’s crazy don’t you think?
